About us

SMETS Technology GmbH, based near Berlin, merges expertise and knowledge from all over Germany. Together with our partners, we build individual high-performance trucks for professional surface treatment using high-pressure water.

Since 1975, the founders of SMETS Technology have made sure to rely on environmentally friendly and resource saving ultra-high-pressure technology for cleaning runways and roads.

We manufacture professional vehicles for a wide range of cleaning applications required by airports, municipalities and road authorities. In our range of products are vehicles with a working width up to 3400 mm, designed for professional runway + road surface cleaning and for paint marking removal on roads and airports. We are also a service provider for rubber removal on runways, de-marking on roads + airports, retexturing of surfaces, cleaning of large areas and oil spillage removal.

Marking Removal Truck MRT 300/1

The removal of road markings (lines and/or traffic signs) by means of high-pressure water is becoming increasingly popular worldwide. The distance with our systems guarantees that no height profile is milled into the road surface. Our procedure is gentle and fast.

CSR Friction Tester

The CSR device has been designed and manufactured to control pavement parameters responsible for traffic safety.
The vehicle is equipped with its own water tank, which enables continuous measurement of the anti-slip properties of the surface and a 1 mm thick film of water. The measurement results can be followed up to date and the values stored on the memory plate can be presented in the form of a final report in the environment of the Geographical Information System (GIS).

The ARC3000®, with the largest tank capacity of any system available in the world, was originally designed and built for a huge airport in the UAE. One of the requirements was that the system should be able to work continuously for 3.5 hours (210 minutes) at a time.
