Our multi-layer, fabric-based conveyor belts are destined for diverse conveyor and processing tasks. In all areas of the baggage handling, they are real all-rounders, or customized for specific applications such as tray conveying.
Special belts for curves are flexible in all directions – both horizontally and spirally – and can easily handle even complex requirements.
Conveyor belts for the infeed and outfeed merging of items of baggage fulfill one of the core tasks of baggage handling systems. Conveyor belts from Forbo Movement Systems are highly accepted in this industry.
AmpMiser energy-saving conveyor belts
Amp Miser is Forbo Movement Systems’ conveyor belt that verifiably generates energy savings of up to 50%. This makes Amp Miser the best energy-saving belt in the industry. Airports around the world are already harnessing its energy-saving potential. The energy savings potential has been certified by German inspection body TÜV Rheinland and they have presented with the Best of Industry Award 2023 in the Best Sustainability Project category. Where goods are conveyed continuously and lots of belts are used, as in airports, the savings are very apparent and ensure a fast return on investment. And more luggage can be conveyed faster.
The Amp Miser conveyor belts meet all standards. They are robust, flame retardant, antistatic, low noise and operate in the temperature range required. And they are verifiably energy efficient. Thanks to the low friction coefficient, Amp Miser enables smaller motor gearbox sizes, longer conveyors and a reduction in the number of motors. Driving the Amp Miser belts also generates less heat on motors and bearings for a longer lifetime of the conveyor systems.
When using the ECOFIBER version, there’s even more to Amp Miser: With recycled PET in the tension members, the Amp Miser ECOFIBER belts save on primary raw materials and therefore help you to reach your sustainability goals, too.

ECOFIBER belts
These conveyor and processing belts have tension members made of recycled PET. With rPET, the ECOFIBER belts save on primary raw materials at the same level of quality as the primary material. Yarns made of recycled polyester (rPET) save energy in production, and therefore carbon emissions. In the AmpMiser version, ECOFIBER belts also save up to 50% in the operation of the baggage conveyor. A triple effect that helps you to reach your sustainability goals.

Belts for integrated conveyor systems
Twin- or triple-ply belts with fabric undersides offer a combination of exceptional tensile strength and smooth operation. Coating materials with a high friction coefficient and longitudinal grooves (LG patterns) deliver the required grip. Belts with high-grip coatings (R coatings) have excelled where exceptionally good grip is required.
An OEM solution with three types of timing belts is also applied. The timing belts stand apart because of their exceptional strength and smooth operation. They enable fast acceleration and exact positioning of the tray. The belts are durable and very resistant to wear, therefore guaranteeing efficiency.
Transilon and Transtex fabric belts
Transilon and Transtex are the universal, fabric-based, multilayer belts from Forbo Movement Systems. These multi-layer, fabric-based conveyor belts are destined for diverse conveyor and processing tasks. In all areas of the baggage handling, they are real all-rounders or customized for specific applications such as tray conveying.
